The Building Blocks of Music
All music is constructed with the same elements: rhythm, pulse, tempo, pitch, melody, harmony, texture, timbre, and dynamics. The difference between one composition and another is in the ways in which composers and performers use these raw materials. During this course we explore the basic elements of musical language.
